My name is Luna Miles, A junior here at MTCHS. I love people and interacting with my community. Ive always been a part of MTCHS student government since I found out about it in Freshman year. Ive adore serving the community and taking a lead in whatever I can. You may recognize from the Scam Prevention seminar during Tech Fair, That was a SkillsUSA competition submission, We won first place and its taking us to nationals in june. Ive loved this school since I enrolled and I want to share some of that love with you all by making this school great.
- I will ensure that each and every students opinion here is heard and taken into account.
- I will increase student engagement within and outside of the student body.

- Im used to rapid change, being there when we went through five different advisors in the span of two years, Coleman, Biggs, Smith, McGinnnis, and Jensen
- Electing other candidates Alex Campfield as historian and Lando Curtis as Treasurer as well, will streamline decision making even more. We are a tight knit group, This pre-existing relationship will help things run smoothly.
- I will continue reforming the Bylaws, granting more power to the officers and representatives.
- I will have decisions made within student government faster, streamlining the process and getting things done quicker.
- Interaction between other organizations will be increased, making sure their wants are met just as well as Student Government.
Hello! My name is Luna Miles, A junior here. I am running for president of Student Government for the 2026-2027 school year. Many of you may recognize me from the Scam Prevention Presentation myself and two teammates did during tech fair. So why me? I want to ensure that every single student inside and outside of Student Government has their opinion listened to. Lately, I have heard many comments that the spirit weeks feel the same every year. Let me get a raise of hands, how many of you agree with that? Well, Student Government plans spirit week days, and every one of you that just raised your hand get will get an opportunity to make the spirit weeks more interesting. I have lots of experience with Student Government, I was here since my freshman year and have went through five different advisors within two years, Im used to change and know how to handle things like this. I want to personally endorse Alex Campfield and Lando Curtis as the Historian and Treasurer roles respectively. These two individuals are my very dear friends. With these two people as well as myself elected, Student Government will be more streamlined and speed up the rate at which things get done. I am the sitting secretary of Student Gov, I know the ins and outs of this organization and know exactly what needs to be improved, what works, and more importantly what doesnt work and how to fix it.. Currently, the officers do not have many extra responsibilities compared to other members. I want to reform this, and allow officers and representatives feel like they matter in student government. I want to empower the student body as well. Making sure that there is an easy way to get in contact with me and voice concerns any time of day. I want to unload some responsibilities off of student government back onto other organizations like NHS and STOR. I have have heard many complaints from many NHS members that they feel stripped of responsibilities, and I want to help to fix this and encourage more collaboration with other organizations. So what does this all mean for people outside of any organizations? By electing me for the 2026-2027 school year, a few things will happen. The fun one is that spirit weeks will be more diverse, which Im sure all of you will love. Less things will be canceled, as some of you may know, booGrams was canceled this year, and by electing me, I will ensure they will happen. More diverse food options at events. As great as pizza is, im sure a lot of us would like some other options, and I will work diligently to get more interesting food at events and parties. Student Government will be more inviting, for good reason. I encourage each and every one of you to start attending student gov meetings. because we need you!
